Eco-friendly holidays
Vacations are synonymous with fun and a change of scenery, but that doesn't mean you have to break your good habits!
* Fire is the enemy of the forest... and of hikers! I don't smoke in the forest and I don't light fires there.
* I park in parking lots... just like in the city!
* I don't get in the way of emergency services or the work of farmers, foresters, and others.
* When hiking, I stay on the trails! This way, I avoid repeatedly trampling plants, insects, and the habitats of ground-nesting bird species.
* I don't walk on scree slopes, which are habitats.
* We are allowed to pass through, so let's respect the property!
* Animals have ears... so hush! A frightened animal may abandon its young...
* I avoid picking wild plants. This way, I preserve species that are protected by law.
* I am vigilant and participate on sentinelles.sportsdenature.fr
* I report any anomalies I encounter along the way: incorrect signage, defective signs, pollution, safety issues, conflicts of use, etc.
* In an emergency, I alert the emergency services by calling 18 or 112 and follow their instructions.
* I am not alone in nature. There are other users such as hunters, horse riders, and mountain bikers, who are subject to the same rules of citizenship.
* I collect my trash so I don't pollute.
* My dog on a leash = stress-free wildlife and peaceful herds.
* Pastoral area = herd protection dog, which I avoid quietly
