A cart decorated with foliage in honor of Saint Eloi is drawn by almost 40 draft horses and crosses the village.
Every year in June, a cart is decorated, the “carreto ramado”, to honor Saint Eloi, protector of plowing and draft animals. This famous tradition is present in many villages such as Maussane-les-Alpilles.
Around forty draft horses, richly harnessed in Sarrazine style, decorated with flowers and ribbons, pull this cart decorated with plants.
The troupe parades through the streets of the village, where it makes several passages at different paces to the cheers of the crowd, paying homage to the agricultural harvests.
