- Acces rules to the forest in summer
Between 1 June and 30 September, access to, movement within and presence of people in forest areas are regulated by prefectural decree.
Depending on the weather conditions, 2 levels are defined each day:
-Green : Acces, circulation, presence of persons permitted all the day
-Red : Acces, circulation, presence of persons forbiden all the day
For information on these restrictions, please consult the forest access map. It is updated daily at 5 p.m. for the following day.
The department has also set up a voice server on 0811 20 13 13 (premium rate call €0.06/min), which is updated daily at 5 p.m. for the following day.
With a few exceptions, this applies to all hills, valleys and forests. Roads are not affected, so car traffic and road cycling are permitted.
In Maussane and the surrounding area, in the event of a red alert, you can still walk in certain places:
-In Maussane, the ‘Along the Water’ hike and the Circuit of Poets
-In Paradou, you can enjoy a bucolic walk starting from the church, passing by Mas d’Escanin, and turning left onto Chemin de la Burlande to return to the centre.
-In Fontvieille, the Trail of the Moulins de Daudet remains open, as does a section of the Roman aqueduct of Barbegal.
– In Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the ancient roman city of Glanum and Lac du Barreau are accessible.
-In Eyguières, the Vallon des Glauges valley remains fully accessible.
-In Saint-Martin-de-Crau, you can find shade at the ‘Jardin de Gaston’ arboretum and visit the Crau Ecomuseum.
