Provence Souvenirs

In the heart of the Alpilles massif, Mr Labidi and his wife work the emblematic tree of Provence and the symbol of our dear region: the olive tree. Their workshop is located in the heart of the village of Maussane Les Alpilles, a stone’s throw from the Town Hall.

They create unique objects around the art of the table, kitchen utensils, but also decorative. Wood is a living material and renowned and immortal. Their wood is dried between 2 and 5 years before being worked: a guarantee of quality. Each object is unique, the veining is different on each tree and this is what makes the Olivier tree so charming. It’s a surprise with every cut! They use no treatment on the wood. It’s just oiled. Olive wood is very dense and antibacterial, which is why it is often used in cooking.
