At Mas de Gourgonnier, the Cartier family perpetuates its know-how and environmentally-friendly viticulture. Committed to organic farming for over 50 years, this emblematic Alpilles estate extends over 40 hectares of vines and 20 hectares of olive trees, cultivated with passion and exacting standards.
Situated on the southern slopes of the Alpilles, less than an hour from Avignon, the estate enjoys a dry, windy climate, ideal for growing vines and olive trees. For over 20 years, the Mas has been run as a family business, with the fourth generation now at work. Brothers Luc and Frédéric, and their daughter and son, Eve and Olivier, combine their knowledge and passion to make this estate, where tradition and modernity meet, shine.
Mas de Gourgonnier’s AOP Baux-de-Provence and IGP Alpilles wines reflect all the richness of the Alpilles terroir. Sunny, balanced and marked by the aromas of the garrigue, they are the fruit of a precise blend of 12 grape varieties. The estate also produces olive oils from local varieties and old orchards. Harvested with care, the olives produce an extra-virgin oil with subtle, intense aromas, bearing witness to the typicality of the Provencal terroir.
