LA CABANE DU PETIT PAYSAN

Le Petit Paysan, whose real name is Marc Gonfond, is an independent fruit and vegetable producer based in Maussane-les-Alpilles, in the heart of the Vallée des Baux.

Born into a family of farmers spanning several generations (including three in Maussane), Marc was determined to take over the family business. After learning from his grandparents, working with his parents and travelling the world with his backpack, he decided to start selling his produce direct over 15 years ago, setting up his little roadside shed. That’s how ‘La Cabane’, “the shack”, came into being, as it’s affectionately called by loyal customers and friends.

Since then, this “shack” has become not only a direct sales outlet for the farm, but also a showcase for local know-how, with local producers and breeders (wine, cheese, etc.) and other products sold through short distribution channels.

In addition to the shack’s seasonal openings (from March to August), you’ll find vending machines available 24 hours a day, every day, to supply you with vegetables all year round!
